Upcoming: Rain Day Festival Save the Date
Greene County Democratic Committee will have a booth at this year's Rain Day Festival in downtown Waynesburg (Fountain & Monument Parks) on Wednesday, July 29, from 11 AM to 7 PM. Stop by to pick up voter registration forms, campaign flyers for our 2026 candidates, and to say hello to committee volunteers.
Volunteers needed: GCDC is still looking for a few more hands to help staff the booth. If you can spare an hour or two, we'd love to have you.
Rain Day is one of Greene County's biggest community traditions: 2026 marks Waynesburg's 153rd Rain Day, the legendary bet on whether it will rain by a set time downtown. The festival runs all day with live entertainment on two stages, vendors, food, kids' activities, and contests.
Congressional candidate Alan Bradstock and State House candidate Lois Bower-Bjornson both plan to stop by the booth at some point during the day. Exact times weren't set as of this posting, so come by any time and you may catch one or both of them.

Upcoming: Town Hall with Alan Bradstock Save the Date
Join Alan Bradstock (combat veteran, retired FBI agent, and Democratic candidate for PA's 14th Congressional District) for a community Town Hall at the Waynesburg VFW, Post 4793 (445 E Lincoln St, Waynesburg) on Wednesday, August 5, from 6–8 PM (doors at 5:45).
The event is free and open to everyone: no registration or RSVP required, though it's appreciated at bradstockforcongress.com.
Upcoming: Greene County Fair Save the Date
Greene County Democratic Committee will have a booth at the Greene County Fair (Fairgrounds, 107 Fairgrounds Rd, Waynesburg), which runs August 9–15. Our booth will be up August 10–15, from 4:30–8:00 PM each evening. Stop by for voter registration forms, campaign flyers for our 2026 candidates, and to meet committee volunteers.
On Wednesday, August 12, from 6–10 PM, volunteers will again be scooping ice cream at the booth, always a fan favorite. GCDC is still looking for volunteers for both the ice cream shift and general booth coverage (the ice cream shift is included on the same form).
Alan Bradstock and Lois Bower-Bjornson both plan to visit the fair on some days during the week. Specific days weren't confirmed as of this posting, so check back or watch our Facebook/Bluesky for updates.

Jacktown Fair
Greene County Democratic Committee had a booth at the 161st annual Jacktown Fair in Wind Ridge all week, handing out voter registration forms and campaign information and catching up with neighbors from across the county.
Alan Bradstock and Lois Bower-Bjornson both took part in the fair's opening day parade, riding together and waving to the crowd along the route.

A Wonderful Spring Celebration
On the evening of Thursday, April 16, 2026, members, friends, and supporters of the Greene County Democratic Committee gathered at Valley View Farm in Waynesburg for our annual Spring Celebration. Over a buffet dinner and good conversation, we came together to celebrate our community, reconnect with old friends, and welcome new faces to the cause.
Events like this are the heart of an all-volunteer organization. The funds raised support our ongoing work across Greene County, and the turnout was a reminder of how much energy and goodwill there is for Democratic values in our community.
Thank you to everyone who attended, to the volunteers who made the evening run smoothly, and to Valley View Farm for hosting us. We're already looking forward to seeing you at the next one!
Historic Victory: 2025 Judicial Retention Election ✓ Mission Accomplished
The 2025 election was a resounding success for democracy and judicial independence in Pennsylvania. Thanks to the hard work of volunteers, engaged voters, and community members across Greene County and the Commonwealth, all seven Democratic judicial candidates won by substantial margins.
The Results:
Five judges retained:
- Justice Christine Donohue
- Justice Kevin Dougherty
- Justice David Wecht
- Judge Alice Beck Dubow
- Judge Michael H. Wojcik
Two new judges elected:
- Judge Brandon Neuman
- Judge Stella Tsai
This victory preserves an independent, fair-minded judiciary that respects the rule of law, protects individual rights, and serves all Pennsylvanians with integrity. It demonstrates what we can accomplish when citizens engage with the democratic process and stand up for the values that matter.
